Update your password, enable two-factor authentication, and request deletion.

Changing your password

If you signed up with email and password, you can change your password at any time:

  1. Go to Settings in your dashboard sidebar.
  2. Open the Account section at the bottom of the Settings page.
  3. Click "Change Password": Enter your new password and confirm it.

If you signed up with Google or GitHub, your password is managed by that provider. Use their account settings to change it.


Two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account. When enabled, you'll need to enter a code from an authenticator app in addition to your password when logging in.

  1. Go to Settings → Account.
  2. Click "Enable 2FA": A QR code will appear.
  3. Scan with your authenticator app: Use an app like Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password to scan the QR code.
  4. Enter the verification code: Type the 6-digit code from your authenticator app to confirm setup.

Once enabled, every login will require both your password and a fresh code from your authenticator app.

Tip: Save your recovery codes

When setting up 2FA, save the recovery codes in a safe place. If you lose access to your authenticator app, these codes are the only way to regain access to your account.


Account deletion

If you need to delete your account, you can request deletion from the Account section in Settings. Here's what happens:

  • All data is removed: Your menus, settings, uploaded images, and profile information are permanently deleted.
  • Published menus go offline: Any live menus will stop being accessible immediately.
  • Subscription is cancelled: If you're on a paid plan, your subscription is automatically cancelled.
  • This action is irreversible: Once deletion is confirmed, there's no way to recover your data.

Export before you delete

If you want to keep copies of your menus, export them as PDFs or images before requesting account deletion. Once your account is deleted, your menus cannot be recovered.


Tips & frequently asked questions

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

On the login page, click Send Magic Link and enter your email. You'll receive a one-time login link. Once logged in, you can set a new password in Settings → Account.

Can I disable 2FA after enabling it?

Yes. Go to Settings → Account and click "Disable 2FA." You'll need to confirm with a code from your authenticator app to turn it off.

Is my payment information secure?

Yes. MenuSquared uses Stripe for payment processing. Your credit card details are never stored on our servers. They're handled entirely by Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure.
